Complications, complications and mor complications!

You know when you get to a point when you feel like things are so complicated that you just don't know how to start unravelling them? Well that's the way I'm feeling right now. There's so much happening that's so complicated that I just don't know how to start unravelling it all.

The most interesting thing is that the complication isn't coming from my side; it's coming from other people. Is that weird or what? I'm not the one who's making my life complicated, it's other people. But what can I do about it? It's not as if I can just drop my friends like hot potatoes; that's just rude, but then again do I really have to sit and endure all their complications?

What most people want in their lives is simplicity, right? So why can't most people just try to live their lives simply and without complication? I know there are just those things in life that are complicated but sometimes people just love creating unnecessary complications, is it really worth it?

Anyway, I hope I don't get bombarded with too much complication this week. I just want it to run ever so smoothly so that I can go home in one piece and with my brain still intact (not exploding from the over-thinking of all the complicatedness around me)

Oh my, it's finally over!!!

The two week long stress marathon is finally over. I can finally go to sleep with BOTH eyes shut =) I'm so gonna be a happy-chappy this week. And that long weekend was the cherry on the cake or should I say Ice-cream.

My ever so long weekend was spent on the computer and watching TV -- ah!!! the good old days; when I could just sit and be a couch potato every day of the week.

Well all I can say is taht I had an awesome weekend, am ready to eat lots and lo and am really stoked for the holz ;-)

I'm depressed :-(

I've just had another one of those really long boring days where i just didn't want to do anything but had so much work to do. it's really kinda sad though because i know that if I don't do that work i won't get to where i wanna be in exactly a years time.

This year is probably one of my most important academic years because I need these results to get me into a really good university and the course that i wanna do. My frustration is that I'm now getting really demotivated and when I'm demotivated I get bad results.

I guess you could say I just need to find some sort of inspiration to keep me going; but what the hell I'M DEPRESSED, inspiration is not really an option at the moment because I'm in a really negative state of mind.

All I can say is that life seems really unclear to me at the moment and I'm really not in the mood to try and figure out my "devine purpose" - if it isn't coming then it isn't coming.

Long day hey =(

Everyday seems to be dragging on longer than the day before it. Is this what life has come to; a series of days where it just seems like you can't bear to look out the window and still see the sun shinning?

Today I could barely even bring myself to get out of bed; I was so tired of the endless routine that made my life what it was. Even thought of getting some hot food was enough to encourage me to get out of bed. Is my life really becoming this droning? I spend the majority of my day studying and barely get enough timne to do anything else. i have limited hope for the things that i've studied becaue for some arbitrary reason a good percentage of my teachers seem to think that it's ok to want their students to fail their subject. And it just so happens that my three exams for this week are for these subjects.

Why don't teachers feel the passion anymore? Is it beacaue they're underpaid, develope an enormous dislike for kids, start hating their job or that they just don't care anymore? I'd really like to know coz I have some really, really unpassionate teachers who are absolutely ruthless and aim to see their students fail at practically everything they try and are not willing to help them through it. Is my life sad or what? = (

Exams are in full swing!!!

Who could have ever thought that someone could either make or break their entire academic career in the course of just 1 and a half weeks.

That is what happen in exam week (Or exam week and a half in my case). You get stressed out by the tiniest little things; the person behind you sniffing, the person infront of you constantly messing with their hair, the person beside you sucking on thei pen and the teacher constantly walking down your isle who smells like cat's pee.

Why can't people understand that things like these are very distractive to a person's train of thought; especially when you're trying to remember 6 months worth of work. i don't about other people, but i find really hard to think about that when there's constant distraction around me.

I know it may be a little bit mean for me to say all these things but are they not true? Peopl eget distracted easily by the tiniest things and would it just not be better for us all to write exams in solitary confinement; maybe a white padded room (that way no sound, no visual distractions, just you and that exam) - that sounds like an idea that i really want to happen.

To higher beings up above, my plea is for better exam conditions - i'm begging on bended knees - pretty please help (with a cherry on top!!).

Am I really looking that stressed????

For the past couple of days I've been receiving remarks like "you look like you haven't slept in days" and "you look awfully tired" when just 8 o'clock in the morning.

I know I've been working super hard to try and keep up with all my exam study and homework so that I won't lag behind because of this stupid band tour that got thown into the weekend just before exams.

Besides all of that I have been trying to keep my head on and trying to get at least about 6hrs of sleep every night, it's hard with all the work but I really can't help it. If I ever wanna get anywhere in life I have to learn how top make sacrifices.

What a long day :-(

OH MY WORD!!!!!

I don't think I've had a day that's been this non-stop hectic in a long time. But before I begin my long story I must add in that I only went to bed last night at around 23:30; put that into perspective.

My day started at around 6:30 when my body decided taht it was time to re-enter the real world. I must say that I do respect it for this intiative; but not when i'm so damn tired from the week and on a SATURDAY MORNING.

My first official task of the day was to go to hockey at around 9:30. But I arrived only to find out that the team that i was supposed to be playing against pulled out that morning. But now you would think that since there wasn't a match, they'd let us go home. But oh NO, NO, NO; not GHS. We had to sit and wait so that we could play a match against eachother. So i was literally tackling the girl I was having such an awesome laugh with about 20 minutes before.

The second half of my day wasn't to grand either. I was scheduled to go to the mall. I hought it was going to be so boring 'cause I was going alone, but oh no, it was far from that. I spent about 4 hours in a shopping mall to leave with only 2 items and not accomplish what i really wanted to. WHAT A BUMMER!!!! GRRRRRR!!!! It seemed like every single shop was lacking what I needed or they had it but decided to set it to such a price that my parents would probably murder me for spending so much of their hard earned cash.

On the whole I really had a long and didn't get too much accomplished. I really really hope that tomorrow is much better otherwise there will be no point in waking up.

If i've ever said to anyone that I'm under stress before now; I totally take it back (it was total rubbish).

In the past week I've experienced stress like it's nobody's business. There's constantly work to be done and with exams looming; that work needs to be done quicky, efficiently and with damn good accuracy.

Who ever said BALANCE gets things done lied; not unless balnce excluded sleep; then maybe i can see how it works, but others I'm screwed (like 3 times over). I need 12hrs of sleep but I'm only getting 6. I need more hours in my day but I'm only getting 24 when I need like 36. Can God not identify with me in my time of crisis. It took him 7 days to make the Earth but no human is anywhere near as speedy as he is.

I'm really tired now and I need to have a real heart-to-heart with God. I'll write again later. Until then.

Home sweet home - again.

It's finally holiday time. I get to sleep till at least 8 o'clock and when I go to bed is nobody elses business but mine. I'm so glad to be a getting a break from the long drive of Gr 11, it's really a lot of work.

Being home also means going to really fun places. I spent Sunday with my mom, dad and sister at SUN CITY. Can you believe it; talk about a welcome home gift. It was so beautiful; the artificial ocean, the really really grand designs on the interior, the food and the "ancient ruins". It was really awesome; it was so worth the 1 and a half hour drive.

I'm so stoked to be getting time to blog again, I hope i can make more time for it in the new term. Otherwise- till something more ground-breaking/earth-shattering occurs- I, unfortunately, have to love you and leave you.

Making the first move :-o

It may seem like a weird thing for a lot of people, and it is for me, but making the first move for something is kinda scary. You don't know what to do, you get all nervous about it, you don't think you're gonna do it right everything just becomes one huge mess that you don't know how to fix or even where to begin.

That's my dilemma this week. I just don't know where to start tackling this problem. And even when it seems like I've made some sort of a break-through; something else just jumps in the way and makes things a little bit more difficult than befor. I'm just getting so tired of. I really feel like giving up but I know that I can't beacause if I do then I'll never learn from the experience and either way, whether I make this move now or in ten years time, the result will always have a 50% chance of being favourable.

Why do things always have to be so difficult, why can't they just be simple so that we can all get along and live in peaceful harmony. That is my question to the world, the universe, the cosmos. I just need a simple answer. Cna't anyone just give me one and make things simple?

Yesterday I went home fo rthe first time in my 3 weeks of being in boarding school. Even though I was only there for a couple of hours; I had a lot of fun and got a whole lot of relaxation done.

I felt like a huge part of my life had been refilled and random stuff was just sorted out.

I also managed to get some ground covered on "Project X". I laid down some ground work with a connection of mine and I think the ball has started rolling, slowly but surely.

I hope I'll have much more exciting news tomorrow and I can't wait for this weekend.

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!!

Oh my gosh!!! I've never expected my life to be this busy before.

Lately I've been trying to find my balance in life - you know "The Chi"- that everyone's always looking for. Well I thought I'd gone and found myself this "Chi" or that I was at least on the road to finding it. I was relaxed with my work and I didn't feel depressed or stressed at all.

Everything seemed until the BAND bombshell hit. I mean, it's only the third week of school and already they're making plans for workshops and early morning practices. There's only so much a girl can handle and one of these days I'm so gonnna POP!!!

It's no good for me to just complain and not show you what it's really like. So here's my schedule for tomorrow; see how much I'm stressed:

5:30 - Wake up, shower, get dressed, pack books, pray.

6:30 - Breakfast
6:50 - Get snacks for school
7:00 - BAND!!!

7:45 - Go to registration class

7:50 - Classes

14:35 - Get laundry, change clothes, put books away.

15:00 - BAND!!!

16:30 - Go to early supper

17:00 - Go to cell and youth

21:30 - Get back to hostel

22:00 - Go to bed.

WHAT A DAY HEY!!!.

Just another boring day?!?

Between yesterday and today I can simply say that "not much happened".

The routines were the same- wake up, wash my face, brush my teeth, etc...- But this morning something different happened after breakfast, I was matron Hitler. But something was quite different about her; she was actually acting like a normal human being- she was decently nice to me.

The next thing that happened wasn't quite as much of a shock as I had expected it to be. Since I had been classified in an alternate qlique as to my normal friends. You see, there are two major qliques at school; the boarders and the day girls, and since I'm now a boarder things are a little different between my friends and I. But I guess I couldn't have expected things to stay the same for ever, I juts didn't expect it to happen so soon.

Just as my morning blues had settled in a ray of sunshine burst onto the seen. One of my friends - who had been having relationship issues- said "hi, thanks for the advice". i know it might sound strange, but those few words kinda changed everything for me. I ended up having this long conversation with; you know - telling her not to sell herself short and that her ex is a total psycho freak for trying to mess up her new relationship and all of that- and at the end of it all, I felt like I had accomplished something. Although my status in society had changed- going from one team to the "enemy's" team and all that- I felt like today was a day that I was going to realise something that I may not have wanted to realise before. Things are gonna change - they always have and they always will- and who am I to try and stop them from changing?

Finding the right dress!!!!

This past week I was constantly but subtly informed about my "physicallity".

Today's post is meant to be short and sweet and so it shall be - Short and sweet.

During this past week a couple of my friends informed that I pretty good-looking legs. Not even just my friends but a couple of genereal aquaintances, you know -the "Hi, bye"- kind. It's not like I've NEVER had these comments before, but this week I chose to look into them seriously.

I'm not and extremely athletic person or anything like that, so I guess the way my body is, is kinda like a gift from God - you know - coz I eat like a total pig.

Well anyway, I decided top analyse all of these comments. Most of them revolved around me "showing off my legs". So there and then was the idea birthed that I should purchace a dress - you know; the kind that are in fashion nowadays- well I set my mind on trying to find the perfect kinda dress for me.

My quest began on that weekend and hasn't quite yet finished. You see it takes quite a bit of time to find that special dress that just screams ME!!! But I have hope and maybe this weekend will be the weekend that I find the right one.

The make-over!!!

Before yesterday most people would have thought of me as just this plain girl, you know, your typical "Jeans and a T-shirt" kind of girl. But yesterday that kinda changed.

The day started off with me just waking up, taking a shower - you know the usual things. I went down to breakfast and was informed that we'd be going to the mall. Me, being the person I am, thought this would be just one of those relaxed things; you know a "Jeans and a T-shirt" kind of thing.

Little did I know that it was not so. Before I'd even left the breakfast table someone had asked what I was going to wear. Being the person I am, I simply replied, "Probably just a pair of pants and a t-shirt." But boy-oh-boy did I get the craziest stares ever.

I was quickly informed that, usually on our trips to the mall, we have to dress our best, dress to impress, put on our smartest outfit. My closet was raided and, my clothes were thrown all over the show just to find that one outfit that just screamed WOW!!!

Once this outfit was created for me, it was time to make me look glam and make me WALK THE WALK. On the whole, I left for the mall looking like a totally different person; Miss Conservative had left the building! Well at least for the 3hrs we were gone. As soon as I back I slipped right back into a pair of shorts and a T-shirt. I guess I can only take it one step at a time.

My first time at Youth!!!

For those of you who don't know what youth is; it's a place(usually a church) where teens and young adults get to gether to worship God. Yesterday was my very first time ever going to one of these meetings AND it was TOTALLY MIND BLOWING!!! What started off in my mind as "just another one of those things that young teenagers do as a social event" turned out to be one of the most honest and eye-opening experiences of my life. Now I'm not saying that peopel shouldn't socialize at Youth, but I did feel that some poeple were there for all the wrong reasons. Anyway the experience I had, despite the random people, was quite amazing. I felt like I could be myself around people my age and be comfortable about my beliefs. It was also really amazing to see people who were so dedicated to God and so interested in learning about him. I wish that I could explain it more words but some things just have no way of making their way into things that others can understand.

I hope you'll have an experience as good as this.

Crap happens

Have you ever had one of those days where everything seems to be ok on the outside and for some you seem think that everything is ok but it REALLY isn't. I just had one of those monumental days. Everything started off well. It seemed like it would be a good day and then things start to slowly go wrong. Why on earth do things go wrong?!? I mean it's not as if i was monumentally mean to someone, I didn't make anyone cry, but still, things went wrong. As if I wasn't feeling bad enough already other uncontrollable crap started happening. Like when this really psycho matron calls me over the intercom at the hostel straight after I get back from school to say i haven't filled in some stupid sheet. And the fact that i've just gotten into the hostel and have barely taken off my school clothes isn't enough for, it's just not that good of a reason not to fill in some stupid sheet. And when i was filling in the bloddy sheet, she presumed to think that i was doing it wrong and that i didn't know the status of my coming and going. WHAT AN IDIOT!!! Sometimes i just don't understand why people enjoy being hated by others or enjoy being called "Hitler" behind their back. She's a total shrew, understandable, but her little game of "Mean Matron" is totally overplayed; it's like she's trying to be the wicked stepmother, or the evil witch. "Mean Matron" that was over-played centuries ago, it dosn't work now.

I hope i'm in a much better mood tomorrow but till then,

it's been the longest of times since i blogged last. I FEEL NAKED!!! the last couple of months have been pretty busy for me. everything's gone haywire for me lately. but i hope things will get better. i started my exams 2 days ago and i'm feeling like asap already. dude, it's so not right for the mind. i think after there exams i'm going to take a brief hiatus into my mind or maybe it should be a long hiatus. it's still very undecided. well as the saying goes, you who some and you loose some. i guess i'm about to lord a whole usual load. ciao for now.

is really reall impressed with the works of shakespeare. gosh! he's like a total genius. though i have my real doubts about romeo and juliet but what can i say, the man had style and a really magnificent gift of poetry. the way he just put his words together so they could either insult someone in the cruelest yet most stylish way ever or to show real and true love and compassion to someone. i'm totally dumbfounded by his poetic genius.

when reple say 'i'll be there at this time' most people usually expect them to be there at that time. but there are the very special cases where people put a new definision to being late. in fact they put a whole new time zone to it. how pathetic is that. it makes me so mad because i'm late for other things that i have to do. it's really very selfish and rude of those people who are constantly late.

What a long time it has been i've blogged last. It feels like i've gone without food for a whole month and a half. But it feels great to back and in action. I don't have too much to tell about what's happened in the last month and a half but there quite interesting bits.

At the end of last monthe we were all reving about the long weekend, it was six days long. It was so cool. During that weekend i went to visit my dad in Pretoria (That's the capital of South Africa). We spent most of our time shopping and just chilling and watching TV. But it was really good to see my dad.

When we came back from Pretoria i had to start worrying about the exams coz they were starting in 3 WEEKS TIME. I started getting so stressed. I made an exam timetable and everything (the works) and now I'm just praying that all of it helped.

Now it's just one day till our exams start, 18 hrs to be exact, and I'M FREAKING LIKE A MAD THING. I'm so overworked and stressed that i've got 3 major stress pimples and it's soooo not funny.

It's been overly enjoyable spilling my emotions out about exams.

Can you believe it, it's finally Easter break. The easter eggs are rolling out and the easter songs are being played everywhere. Plays of the crusifiction are all around and there's the ong sermon in church educating us all about Easter and the death of Jesus Christ. And it's exteeemly amazing to see that a week after it everyone seems to have forgotten about it. Have a GR8 Easter break.

It's been long, hasn't it, but i'm here now. I've been so busy with all my end of term projects that i barely have enough time to eat properly. Well today i'm gonna try and update as many things as possible. I started my Portuguese lessons on monday, and i just came back from it now. Our teacher's name is Jose Adao, he looks a little bit like Luke Wilson. But i'm there for the language. It's pretty cool right now learning pronounciation and all that. But i have to go and study now because i have a geography test tomorow.

Yeaterday i got an e-mail from this girl saying that she had the piano sheet music for the song My Immortsl. It was so cool becoz i just signed up for this thing on wednesday. Any way i'm at school now and i'm preparing for the long day ahead of me. I have an English common test in 3rd period and i'm kinda stressing for that. I had an Accounting test yesterday and it was kinda hectic and then i had hockey for 1hr30min yesterday afternoon which was kinda grueling. But my coach said i need to get really fit, so i'm gonna start running in the morning and afternoons.

Well i'll let you know abt any new details of the music thing.

How stupid can some people actually get? I mean like today when our school told us that we'd finish our swimming gala at 1 o'clock but then we actually finished at 12. And then i had to call my mom to come and pick me up coz we were having this gala at a really dodge place. So anyway, my mom comes to pick me up and then on our way out of the 'dodge place' theres idiotic fool driving a mercedes SW who thinks he owns the freaking road, how moronic is that? Any way this granny of a driver decides that it was time for him to turn into the road after the dozens of oportunities he'd had, and then people complain about road rage when there're idiots like that who probably got a phoney driver's licence. Now i'm at the NUX office with my sister at the varsity and i'm posting this post. I hope you haven't encountered any stupid drivers like i have, and if you do, tell them to go and retake their drivers test.

Has everyone on this planet gone off their freaking hats. I'm mean everything is out of tune, even my clarinet. The weather's totally gone HAYWIRE and people are just acting all weird. Well i guess it's either elnino or global warming. Well anyway my day was HOT HOT HOT. It was so crazy with all the running around and making sure that everything was right for the gala on friday and for the relay's today. I'm practically sizzling my butt of sitting here and posting this. It practically 40 degrees celcious here, you can literally fry eggs on the side walk, not that anyone would but anyway. It's been a pretty crazy day, running around from place to place climbing a million and one flights of stairs, i'm surprised i didn't die through it all. Right now my butt is sticking to the chair which isn't very good. So i guess i've gotta luv u and leave u.

Hey all you bloggers out there,

it's been so long since i've actually blogged and believe me it's been pretty painful having the internet not be on my side. I tried to blog the one time and i got onto the google website and everything and then into the blogger site and then i clicked on new post and the stupid thing kept on saying that it couldn't get onto it for some reason. It was a real BUMMER. But i've recovered from my bummerness. On saturday i got a new cell phone (YIPEE 4 ME), and i finally organised my side-table space and finished an entire book this weekend(WOW!!!!!!!!!). Well that was my weekend 4 u. Last week tuesday i went to a swimming gala at my old primary school, it totally rocked my funny socks. I got to see lots of my friends that i hadn't seen for a really long time and was so cool how most of them were taller than me. (IT'S SO BLOODY SCARY, AMI SHRINKING OR SOMETHING?)

Well i guess that's about all i've gotto say for to day.

Hey you guys. I'm so sorry i didn't have enough time to explain what really happened this weekend. Well here's the big down low. Well there was this social (party) at this private school called Epworth. Most of my friends went but i didn't go cause i wasn't allowed to. so i just went and watched "She's the man" on sunday, it was cool. But anyway, about the social, well they said that there were a lot of people from my old primary school there. And aparantly if a gy liked you he'd come up to you and put his tie around your neck, if you liked him and wanted to dance you'd leave it on, if you don't like him then you give him back his tie. And also, all my friends were practiacally running out when the slow songs came on. I'm sure you're wondering why i didn't go. Well i believe that guys only go to these kind of things to hook up with chicks. That's just my theory, so there. Don't have much time, i have to get started on my Math homework, our teacher likes piling it on.

It's been such a long and hectic day for me. Can you believe that the day has gone by so quickly. It's like lighning. Well i hope your day's been better than mine. I just figured that one of my good friends stole my boyfriend, PAUL WALKER, it was soooooo devastating. But then we came to the agreement of sharing him so we're cool now. I can't believe how quickly i've settled into grade 9. I have a new homeclass teacher and half my class is new. And this week i made 2 new friend their names are V and Lauri. Lauri's pretty cool, she enjoys listening to Josh Groban and Eldivo (she's the first person i've ever met at school who likes that kind of music), we have aquite a bit in common and V transfered in from Durban, she's a slick girl and enjoys to talk about the kind of things that I like to talk about with my friend Ferosa, who's also in the same class as me thins uear. I've never said this in my lifebefore but i guess there's always a first time to do something, "I can't wait for the weekend to be over so i can get back to school and see all my new friends". Hey all u bloggers out there. Hope u all doing alright. It's been a hectic day so far. I got up at 8:30, had breakfast watched some tv and then started working on some stuff for school. I'm going back to school next week wednesday and it wil be my first day in grade 9. But today decided to be a darn difficult day, first of all the heat is killing me, i mean cummon, it feels like i'm in an oven right now and computer is taking forever to load up stuff. Hey all you bloggers out there, it's my first day on the job so please (pretty please) be kind to me. My name is Chinedu, but all my friends call me Chinx. I'm 14, I live in South Africa in a city called Pietermaritzburg and I go to Pietermaritzburg Girls High School. I find it so exciting to be able to have a blog and just express myself, at least now i can say i have my own website. It's been so exciting creating this blog, I hope that you all enjoy it. Now that I've got the welcome rambling over done with i'd like to tell you a little bit about my self. I love eating pizza ( it may sound like a cleche but you can't blame me, i just love it) , I enjoy watching movies and shows like Buffy and Charmed, I hate to say it but I also like soap operas like Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives and Passions (even though the characters get on my nerves I just can't help it), I love working with computers and listening to music.
